Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany

April 18, 2015 ---- If you are in Munich, a day-trip to Regensburg is a must! There is a train leaving Munich Hbf every hour and it takes about 1.5 hours to get there. From the Regensburg train station, you need only 10 minutes to walk to Dom St. Peter, the famous landmark of the city.

Nathan and I went to the Tourist Information Center located at the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) to rent an audio tour of the Old Town and get a city map. It cost 8 EUR to rent for up to 3 hours and 1.5 EUR for every additional hour. For more information about the city, attractions and available tours, check out this website: https://www.regensburg.de/tourismus/Home/3854

Regensburg Audio Walking Tour

The audio tour runs about 60 minutes, but plan to spend at least 2 hours doing the entire tour because you will need to pause the audio while looking for the sites and/or spending some time visiting the church interiors. Nathan and I spent about 4 hours with the audio tour because we took our time visiting each place and spent about an hour picnicking by the Danube River. With the audio guide, you will see and learn about all these places:
